Rental Fees and Information for

THE GORDON COMMUNITY ART CENTER

FEES

Fees must be paid in advance by check, credit card, or cash.

Renters will be charged an additional 25% of their hourly rate if they stay later than 10pm.

All rentals must be done and cleaned up by midnight.

  • Music Room – $12 an hour
  • Theatre Arts Library/Conference Room  – $12 an hour
  • The Studio at The Gordon:

For classes/rehearsals/meetings/filming (includes 10 chairs) – $18 an hour

For tech and/or dress rehearsals (includes 15 chairs, house set-up of light/sound systems*, and dressing rooms) – $25 an hour

For performances (includes 20 chairs, limited cast/crew parking in the back, house set-up of lights/sound systems*, dressing rooms, and lobby) – $35 an hour. If not cleaned after the event, a cleaning fee will be charged.

*If lights and sound equipment need to be moved for your production, there is an additional fee for our Sound and Lighting Designer to move them and then return them to the house set-up. Please, contact for rate.

A Gordon staff member must be present anytime the light and sound boards are being used.

Extra chairs – $1 per chair

Tables – $5 per table per class/show

CANCELLATION POLICY

If cancelling a rental of the Music Room or Theatre Arts Library/Conference Room or The Studio at The Gordon:

a) within one week of the original reservation, the full rental fee will be charged

b) within one to two weeks of the original reservation, a 50% rental fee will be charged

c) within three to four weeks of the original reservation, a 25% rental fee will be charged

CLEANING AND DAMAGE DEPOSIT

Renting the Music Room or Theatre Arts Library/Conference Room does not require a deposit but damages or extra cleaning will be billed to the renter.

Any damage to The Gordon or any of its facilities and furniture will result in an additional charge (charges will vary upon the damage done).

Extra cleaning after an event (including picking up trash/litter in any area of The Gordon) with incur a $50 charge.

ADDITIONAL INFO

  • The Gordon is open during our Office Hours on Monday through Friday to view artwork.
  • Rooms are available to reserve at prearranged times. We will do our best to accommodate you. If you have any questions, feel free to email us!
  • Rooms and studio are rented on a first come, first served basis.
  • During the span of your rental, storage may be available for an additional fee.
  • The Gordon has a security system and 24 hour video surveillance for your added safety.
  • If tickets are required for your event, it is your responsibility to handle advertising, collecting, and managing of them.
  • Artists will be displaying their artwork on the walls at The Gordon on a rotating basis. If you are interested in displaying your artwork at The Gordon, please, feel free to contact us so that we can discuss options.
  • Each production in The Studio at The Gordon must supply their own management team and designers.
  • The Gordon has WiFi available for guests, two bathrooms, and two water fountains.
  • If you would like to serve refreshments for your event, please, either provide Event Insurance stating that you’re covered to serve food and beverage, or provide them on a “donation basis” only.
  • The Gordon has an additional bathroom in the dressing rooms for the actors.
  • The Gordon is cleaned on a daily basis; there are multiple locations to wash hands; and there is hand-sanitizer available to all guests.
  • There is lighted parking on the side of the building solely for the use of The Gordon guests, there is street parking, and there is additional free parking in a public lot around the corner.
